Oil stains, red clay, black mold, and mildew don't stand a chance against HydroClean's surface cleaner and hot-water treatment. We leave driveways, walkways, patios, and concrete pads looking like new â without etching or surface damage.
Concrete is porous. Water, organic debris, oils, and red clay work their way into the surface and create a food source for mold, algae, and mildew. In the Hickory area's humid climate, the biological growth you see on driveways is the same organism that grows on siding and roofs â it just spreads along the ground instead of up a wall.
A garden hose can't remove it. A consumer pressure washer can blast the surface clean, but leaves streaking and doesn't penetrate deep enough to get the organic matter out of the pores â which is why it comes right back within months.
HydroClean uses a rotary surface cleaner that delivers even pressure across the entire surface with no striping or etching. For oil stains, we use a heated water treatment that emulsifies the oil rather than just pushing it around. Results are dramatically better than DIY pressure washing.
We clean every exterior Hard surface at your home or business. If it's concrete, brick, stone, or pavers, we can restore it.
Asphalt or concrete, single or double-wide
Entry paths, public-facing sidewalks, stepping stones
Poured concrete, pavers, flagstone, tile
Residential pads, commercial lots, carports
Concrete surrounds, pavers, stamped concrete
Block, concrete, or stone retaining structures
Not all concrete stains respond to the same approach. Here's how we handle the most common ones in the Hickory area.
The most common concrete stain in NC's humid climate. We apply a biodegradable pre-treatment that kills the organism, then surface-clean to remove it. Results last 1â2 years.
NC red clay is notorious for staining concrete permanently if left too long. We use targeted pre-treatment and high-pressure extraction to pull clay particles from the pores.
Requires heated water and a degreasing pre-treatment to emulsify the oil. We can significantly reduce or eliminate most oil stains â though very old, deeply set stains may not fully clear.
Oak, walnut, and pine debris leave persistent organic staining on concrete. Pre-treatment followed by surface cleaning removes the staining without damaging the surface.
The white chalky deposits that appear on concrete and brick are mineral salts migrating to the surface. We use appropriate acid-based treatment to dissolve and remove them.
North-facing or shaded walkways develop green moss and lichen growth. Soft wash solution kills it at the root; surface cleaning removes it completely.
We apply a biodegradable pre-treatment solution to target organic growth (mold, algae, moss). For oil stains, we apply a heated degreaser and allow it to dwell for several minutes to break down the grease.
Our commercial rotary surface cleaner delivers uniform, even pressure across the entire surface â unlike a wand that leaves stripe patterns. It removes debris and ground-in staining without etching or pitting the concrete.
After the surface cleaner pass, we identify any remaining stained areas and address them with targeted high-pressure treatment or additional chemistry as needed.
We rinse the entire surface to remove all residue, blow off standing water, and do a final walkthrough to make sure every section is clean before we leave.
We serve all of Catawba County and surrounding areas. No trip charge for most locations.
